Volunteer Opportunities
Now in its 13th year at Stanford University’s Taube Family Tennis Stadium, the Bank of the West Classic is one of the most popular professional tennis tournaments in the Bay Area. The dates for this year's tournament are July 26th-August 1st, 2010. We hope that you will join the team of volunteers who have helped to make this tournament such a successful event in the Bay Area. Volunteer positions are currently available in several areas including transportation, ushers, guest services, hospitality and program sales. Or you can choose to be a Floater and do all of these jobs.
The shift times are indicated next to each job and are listed as morning, afternoon, or evening on the sign-up sheet. Please note, there is a minimum requirement for volunteers to do 4 SHIFTS.
As a volunteer you will receive the following:
· One ticket for each shift worked (total not to exceed 6 for the week)*
· An event T-shirt and hat
· Parking passes for the days you are scheduled to work.
* Tickets for Friday evening and Saturday afternoon are extremely limited. Tickets for these sessions will be limited as follows:
2 per volunteer for your choice of EITHER session
2 tickets for EACH for those volunteers who work 6 or more shifts
There will be a designated number of seats in the stadium for those sessions that are not sold out where any volunteer with a credential may watch the matches when they are not working. This is in addition to the free tickets you receive for working your assigned shifts.
We will send out confirmation letters with schedules etc. at least 3 weeks prior to the event. There will be a mandatory orientation meeting for volunteers on Sunday, July 25th at 4:00pm
